Wie wir bereits gestern Nachmittag berichtet haben, ist heute Nacht der neueste Angry Birds-Ableger namens Angry Birds Rio für iPhone und iPod touch sowie Angry Birds Rio HD für das iPad im AppStore erschienen. Damit hat Rovio Mobile nach Angry Birds Seasons die Familie um den iOS-Spielehit weiter vergrößert.
Angry Birds Rio ist in Kooperation mit dem Filmstudio 20th Century Fox und deren neuesten Kinofilm “Rio” erschienen. Beim Spielprinzip bleibt alles weitgehend beim Alten, allerdings machst du in den 60 Levels nicht Jagd auf Eier klauende Schweine, sondern befreist Vögel aus ihren Käfigen und der Gefangenschaft und machst Jagd auf Affen.
Das es in naher Zukunft weitere Levels geben wird, ist bereits bekannt und wird im Spiel auch angekündigt. Die Termine hierfür liegen im Mai, Juli, Oktober und November diesen Jahres.

In Angry Birds Rio, the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio de Janeiro, where they eventually escape their captors and set out to to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – two rare macaws and the stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio.
